What is HSLC?
First let’s understand what HSLC stands for High School Leaving Certificate, awarded to students who successfully clear their Class 10 board exams. In Assam, this exam is being conducted by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) – Did you know that ASSEB was formed in 2024 by merging two entities? SEBA (Board of Secondary Education Assam) and AHSEC (Assam Higher Secondary Education Council).

How to Check HSLC Result 2025
There are 4 different ways mentioned below by which you can access your Assam Class 10 results:
1. Online Method
- Visit sebaonline.org or asseb.in.
- Click the “HSLC Result 2025” link highlighted on the homepage.
- Enter your Roll Number and Captcha Code.
- View and download your provisional marksheet.

2. SMS Service
- Airtel/BSNL/Jio Users: Send “

3. Mobile App
You can download the “ASSEB Results” app from the Google Play Store, just enter your roll number, and view your result.
4. DigiLocker
Access your digital marksheet via the DigiLocker app using your registered mobile number.
HSLC 2025 Toppers and Performance Highlights
- State Toppers:

Post-Result Actions
Re-evaluation:
- Apply online at sebaonline.org with a fee of ₹350–550 per subject.
- Don’t forget the stipulated deadline is typically 15 days after result declaration.
Supplementary Exams:
- For students who didn’t pass, ASSEB will conduct compartment exams in June 2025.
- Results expected by July 2025.
Original Certificates:
- Provisional marksheets can used to apply for admissions in higher secondary classes. Original marksheets shall be made available from the students respective schools later.
Official Statements and News Updates
Education Minister Ranoj Pegu addressed the decline in pass rates, said
“It is concerning that the pass percentage among Scheduled Castes (58.56%) and Tea Garden communities (51.89%)remains below the state average of 63.98% in HSLC 2025. In 2025–26, the Education Department will prioritise focused interventions in these two social sectors to bridge the learning gap and promote inclusive educational growth.”
Performance Trends: Pass percentages dropped sharply from 93.10% in 2021 to 63.98% in 2025, reflecting higher assessment standards.
